The co-op food store in Mottingham is next in line for modernisation.

The exterior will be clad in “traffic grey” metal and paint. Sounds dreary as hell.

I’m not why so many architects and designers love using such dull and drab shades. The current building could do with an upgrade but making it “traffic grey” is hardly going to lift up the area.

The full planning application states:

“18/03186/FULL1 | External redecoration and replacement cladding to front elevation. | The Co-operative Food Kimmeridge Road Mottingham London SE9 4EB”
