The school would have been located on the edge of the town centre near Waitrose on a site currently boarded up:
London South East Academies Trust were behind the plan for a “Science, Health and Wellbeing Futures Academy”.
Bromley Council refused with the academy appealing that decision leading to a public enquiry last November. The result is now in.
One critical issue aside from height was a lack of outside playing areas for children. The now-blocked plan would have seen over 1,200 at the school. The trust has said it will now look into alternative plans.
